If Cary is right, Senator Barack Hussein Obama's only major legislative accomplishment as a United States Senator -- which according to some conservative leaders is potentially an $845 billion United Nations give away of your hard-earned tax dollars -- could be coming up for a stealth vote any day now!

Is it really possible that our federal legislators are planning to pass Barack Hussein Obama's Global Poverty Act while they think we aren't looking?

Here's what conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly said:

"Rumors have been circulating around Capitol Hill that a few activist groups have renewed their surge and have begun lobbying full force for a bill introduced by presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL). The bill has already passed out of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee without any public hearings, and it also passed the House earlier this year. It is important to note that both of these votes were 'voice votes,' which was a deliberate strategy of the congressional majority so that no record would be kept of those who voted in favor of this problematic bill."

Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media recently issued the following report:

"While Senator Barack Obama struggles to keep the public in the dark about the nature of his pro-U.N. Global Poverty Act, a recent 'Bay Area Interfaith Leaders' Luncheon' was held to lobby for Senate passage of the bill, whose cost has been estimated at $845 billion..."

"Meanwhile, a concerned parent alerted us to the fact that a Christian preschool in Long Island, New York was handing out a coloring page for children which included a plea for Congress to pass Obama's Global Poverty Act. 'Dear Parents,' said the letter that was sent home. 'We would like to join efforts with the congregation of St. David's to stop world hunger. You and your child can help by coloring and signing the enclosed sheet. This sheet will be sent along with many others to our representatives in Washington....

"The [enclosed] sheet said 'Dear Senator: At Preschool, I learned to thank God for the food I eat. I also collect coins to help those who don't have enough. Today, I ask you to help, too, with more and better aid for the world's poorest countries. We want Congress to pass the Global Poverty Act. Please cosponsor S. 2433. Thank you.' The child's name and age were supposed to be filled in.

"The pictures to be colored included what appeared to be an angel holding a bowl of food (with a Valentine heart on the robe and the bowl) and a basket with apples."

And just how much is $845 billion?

Vincent Gioia, writing in Right Side News, translates this incomprehensible figure into language every American can understand:

"This amounts to a tax of over $2,000 on each man, woman and child in the United States. The foreign aid budget now stands at $300 billion; the Act would add the additional expenditure to the already huge amount allocated to assist the world."

Where do you suppose they'll get the $845 billion?

Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs of Columbia University -- Director of the UN Millennium Project and Special Advisor to United Nations -- knows EXACTLY WHERE -- "through a global tax preferably on carbon-emitting fossil fuels."

He doesn't mean a tax on gasoline, does he?

OH YES HE DOES!

He doesn't mean a GLOBAL TAX, does he?

OH YES HE DOES!

In a 2005 report to Kofi Annan, the Secretary General's old friend Sachs criticized the United States for giving only a mere $16.3 billion a year to alleviate global poverty .

Specifically Sachs advocated a GLOBAL TAX:

"We will need, in the end, to put real resources in support of our hopes. A global tax on carbon-emitting fossil fuels might be the way to begin."

In other words, you get to pay even more to fill up your tank so some leader of a third-world country can build two or three more palaces while his people are starve to death -- all in the name of fighting global poverty!

Only Americans like you and me can stop this plot from succeeding:

Didn't our elected officials learn ANYTHING from the Oil-for-Food scandal?

Do we need to recite the details to them every time they so much as THINK about giving the U.N. funds to alleviate hunger and eradicate disease?

As David Asman of Fox News summarized it:

"It began as a United Nations humanitarian aid program called 'Oil-for-Food,' but it ended up with Saddam Hussein pocketing billions to become the biggest graft generating machine ever and enriching some of America's most forceful opponents at the United Nations."

Rep. Christopher Shays (R-Conn) -- then chairman of the House Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats, and International Relations -- shook his head and said:

"I believe the U.N., parts of it, have been corrupt for years. But this went to a whole new level."

The scandal was so widespread that even Kojo Annan -- son of former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan -- got caught with his hand in the biggest cookie jar the world has ever seen!

In the wake of this mega-scandal, a Fox News Poll found that 54 percent of the U.S. public believed the United Nations did not reflect the values of average Americans, while only 29 percent said that United Nations' policies reflected our values.

Some of our leader want to forget about this horrible scandal!

But wait a minute, folks! The Global Poverty Act is part of a much larger United Nations scheme.

The United Nations' Millennium Development Goal -- proclaimed in 2000 -- contains plans for the additional plundering of your bank account.

Among their stated goals are:

a "currency transfer tax," -- that is, a tax imposed on companies and individuals who, in the course of traveling or doing international business, must exchange dollars for foreign currency (that's you on a vacation to Scotland);

a "tax on the rental value of land and natural resources;" (Will they make us pay taxes on the oil the Democrats won't let us harvest?)

and "fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for the use of the electromagnetic spectrum... and a tax on the carbon content of fuels."

In other words, the skies and the oceans no longer belong to everyone. They belong to the third-world countries who run the United Nations. Soon enough they'll be taxing us on our use of sunlight.

It's clearly time to make the United Nations eat dust, before this coalition of demonic politicians and international swindlers destroys the U.S. economy -- and with it the only real hope of substantially reducing third-world poverty.
